Scoring
for Scrabble® Using Custom Wood Tile Racks
These racks were designed to let you keep score much like a cribbage board. The 4 holes at the far left are just for
holding spare pegs.
On the first row (closest to the player) each hole
represents one (1) point. When you move your peg to the
furthest hole on the right, you have twenty (20) points -
move the peg on the second row one(1) hole for twenty (20)
points.
On the second row (closest to the rear of the rack) each
hole represents twenty (20) points.
The score is calculated by adding together the two rows.
If you are really good and get over 420 points use the
third peg to start the second row again. My personal top
score is 514 (not that we are competitive, but I'm still
ahead of my wife this week).

In the example above the total score is 73.
Scoring Pegs
We offer two choices for scoring pegs:
Gold and Silver: These are brass pegs with either a
gold or silver finish. Each single board is shipped with
three pegs.
Jeweled Headed Pegs: These are a slightly different
peg, with a Crystal head. They definitely get attention.
Nope, you don’t get to choose colors, each rack gets three
of the same color pegs. We never know what we are getting
from the supplier, so bear with us. Upgrading to jeweled
head pegs is $2.50. |
